When is a Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) needed?

  • An MOU is required anytime the success of a project depends on the efforts of Change Happens! -NTW, and any outside entity. An MOU can be drafted and/ or created by any NTW Steering Committee or subcommittee member but requires approval by the NTW Program Manager.

When is a Conflict of Interest?

  • All NTW Steering Committee and subcommittee members and any individual working on NTW projects are expected to conduct themselves and the work of The Northern Third Ward Neighborhood Implementation Project in a manner that reflects the highest standards of ethical conduct, and in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This includes avoiding real, potential, and perceived conflicts of interest. A “conflict of interest” occurs when an individual’s personal or private interest could potentially interfere or conflict with the interests of The Northern Third Ward Neighborhood Implementation Project. All NTW staff and volunteers are to avoid such conflicts of interest.

  • All NTW staff and any NTW volunteers who serve on committees and/or projects are required to submit a signed Conflict of Interest form (Appendix: B). If any NTW staff or volunteer, including Steering Committee and subcommittee members, contemplates entering into any NTW project-related transaction or arrangement that may provide a benefit, whether direct or indirect, to the personal or pecuniary interest of any NTW staff or volunteer, it is the responsibility of the individual to disclose this interest to the Steering Committee. In addition, project consultants and contractors are required to disclose familial ties or relationships, within three degrees of consanguinity, with any Steering Committee member or employee.

  • All NTW Steering Committee members, subcommittee members, and Project leads must complete and submit a signed copy of the Conflict of Interest form. Failure to do so will result in removal from the project.

  • When working with NTW, all organizations, businesses, individuals, and agencies must work on behalf of the Northern Third Ward Neighborhood Implementation Project.
